Dewatering or Filter bags are used to collect silt, sediment and debris from dewatering operations

cfm dewatering bags are manufactured from 16 oz. non-woven needle-punched geotextile filter fabric with double-stitched seams. (AOS of 100 U.S. sieve and 50 gpm/ ft2).  Bags can also be made using 8 oz. and 12 oz. non-woven fabrics.

To maximize performance of the bag, it should be placed on a level area.  Insert the hose and clamp the fabric to the hose using wire, ties or clamps to create a seal.

Standard sizes:

10’x15’ for 2” discharge hose

20’x15’ for 3” discharge hose

25’x15’ for 4” discharge hose

35’x15’ for 6” discharge hose

Other custom sizes available, just ask!

Please note: cfm dewatering bags are sturdy and permeable, but not indestructible.  High pumping rates or high concentrations of sediment can cause the bag to burst.
